Regional Manager - Property & Casualty

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Regional Manager in New York whose primary purpose is to create profitable growth by acquiring and maintaining new and existing client relationships and increasing market presence through superior, innovative and personalized service. The role supervises property and casualty staff and oversees the region's performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual business plans that deliver profitable growth against the operating revenues and earnings budget, using Sedgwick's business processes.
• Create talent, management and financial control plans to secure the region's performance.
• Oversee the assigned property and casualty staff so the branch operates efficiently.
• Facilitate communication between internal and external customers and monitor work product for validity and accuracy.
• Support the organization's quality programs and travel as required.
• Administer company personnel policies, interview and hire colleagues, set performance development plans and hold performance discussions.
• Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Eight years of related experience, including technical multi-line insurance claims adjusting and people leadership experience.
• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills, and strong negotiation skills.
• Teamwork and leadership abilities.
