Regional Director - Commercial Interior Construction

About the role

A client of Kimmel & Associates, one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier commercial interior contractors, is seeking a Regional Director to lead its Richmond operation. The company specializes in metal framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, floor preparation and other interior construction solutions, and employs more than 400 field professionals. The Regional Director provides executive leadership over operations, project execution, financial performance, client development and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all operational activities for the Richmond division, ensuring safe, profitable and efficient project delivery
• Oversee project execution from preconstruction through closeout for commercial interior construction projects
• Mentor and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents and field leadership
• Drive operational excellence across scheduling, estimating, budgeting, procurement, production and quality control
• Build relationships with general contractors, owners, architects and industry partners, and identify new business opportunities
• Manage division financial performance, including forecasting, profitability, staffing and resource planning
• Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term growth strategies and champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, craftsmanship and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in commercial interior construction
• Strong background in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings or related specialty contracting
• Demonstrated success leading multiple project teams and managing large-scale commercial construction operations
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline preferred
