Regional Accounting & Finance Director – Americas

About the role

The client, a global manufacturing and distribution leader, is seeking a Regional Accounting & Finance Director for the Americas. This senior position will drive finance transformation, oversee accounting operations, and ensure robust governance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployment and stabilization of SAP S/4HANA across the Americas, focusing on process optimization and automation.
• Design and implement the Shared Services Center (SSC) for transactional finance activities (RTR, PTP, OTC, Payroll).
• Oversee regional accounting, statutory reporting, consolidation, and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Act as primary liaison for external audits and ensure audit findings are resolved.
• Partner with FP&A and senior finance leaders during budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit to establish and enforce internal controls and governance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in regional finance leadership within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of managing finance transformation projects, especially SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead shared services models and drive operational efficiency.
