Recycling Associate – Machine Assistant

About the role

Join a leading paperboard recycling operation as a Recycling Associate. You will work on the production floor assisting machines that process loose and shredded paper and cardboard, ensuring a steady flow of material.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload conveyor belts with loose or shredded paper/cardboard.
• Identify, sort, and organize paper grades according to job notes.
• Operate safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced, dusty environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve machine reliability.

Required profile

• Ability to lift 50‑75 lb repeatedly without assistance.
• Comfort working in a climate‑controlled facility that can be warm in summer and cooler in other seasons.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, dusty production setting.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, twist, bend, reach, climb, push and pull throughout the shift.

Required skills

• Conveyor belt operation.
• Material handling and sorting of paper grades.
