Recruiting Coordinator

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to manage day‑to‑day recruiting operations, support talent engagement events, and assist the Employer Engagement team. This role will coordinate both in‑person and virtual activities, ensuring a seamless experience for employers, students, and alumni.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate talent engagement events such as information sessions, coffee chats, career conversations, and interviews.
• Promote recruiting programs to students and alumni via electronic and traditional media.
• Plan, market, and implement the Employer Practice Interview and Critique (EPIC) program.
• Collaborate with Communications to market events through newsletters and social media.
• Train professional and student staff on event coordination responsibilities.
• Provide logistical support for career expos, fairs, and employer‑hosted workshops, including marketing, catering, and set‑up.
• Assist employers with Handshake registration, job postings, and event navigation.
• Maintain high‑level contact with employers to meet recruiting goals and troubleshoot issues.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Employer Engagement Interns.
• Support the Director and Associate Director with scheduling and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Knowledge of routine office practices and procedures.

• Ability to work independently and handle evenings/weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Workday (preferred).
• Familiarity with Handshake platform for recruiting.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $46,000 – $52,000 annually.
