Receptionist for Senior Community Center

About the role

The Vintage Center for Active Adults, a senior community hub in East Liberty, PA, is seeking a friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for adults 60 and older. You will greet visitors, answer phone calls, and support daily administrative tasks in a lively, health‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, direct them to the appropriate staff member, and notify staff of arrivals.
• Answer multi‑line telephone calls professionally, screen and route calls.
• Maintain a tidy lobby and front‑desk area, monitor sign‑in logs, and oversee parking and smoking‑area compliance.
• Handle daily mail, shipping, receiving, and basic clerical duties.
• Record time and attendance using the HR information system.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of clerical or customer‑service experience preferred.
• Professional, pleasant demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience with multi‑line phone systems.
• Basic proficiency in office equipment and standard clerical tools.
