About the role
Prep Academy Tutors seeks an energetic Reading Specialist Tutor to deliver personalized reading intervention for K‑12 students in San Diego, both in‑home and online.
Key responsibilities
- Provide reading intervention support aligned with state curriculum.
- Assign supplemental work to deepen material comprehension.
- Offer remedial and enrichment assistance.
- Communicate student progress with parents or guardians.
- Tailor instruction to each student’s unique needs.
Required profile
- Energetic, enthusiastic teacher who makes learning fun.
- Committed to excellent customer service and enjoys working with students and families.
- Strong communication abilities and adaptable to diverse learning styles.
Required skills
- Experience with reading intervention programs such as Wilson Reading, UFLI, or Barton.
