Reading Room Assistant – Imaging Services

About the role
The Reading Room Assistant supports the Imaging Services department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working in a day‑shift, onsite environment, the assistant ensures the reading room operates efficiently, handling imaging files and assisting radiology staff.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and organize imaging studies and patient records in the reading room.
- Assist radiologists and technologists with image retrieval and preparation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and software.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with health information regulations.
- Support day‑to‑day workflow and coordinate with other clinical staff.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas System employee (student, graduate assistant, or staff).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work the designated day shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Required skills
- PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) familiarity.
