Readiness Specialist

About the role

The University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology is seeking a Readiness Specialist to join the Elevate Change Management team. This role supports the transition to next‑generation student services computing by coordinating campus engagement activities and delivering readiness workshops, functional overviews, and town halls.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate activities for Campus Engagement Groups and support broader campus engagement initiatives.
• Assist the Change Team in planning and facilitating readiness workshops, functional overviews, and town‑hall meetings.
• Develop data staging scenarios and support scenario creation for ERP implementations.
• Create and maintain website content, newsletter articles, and other communication materials related to the Elevate program.
• Collaborate with the Readiness Lead and other ERP team members to ensure consistent messaging and stakeholder alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in a higher‑education environment or similar institutional consulting/project implementation setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting organizational change, readiness activities, or stakeholder engagement in complex project environments.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to translate impacts and readiness needs for diverse campus audiences.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and able to work effectively in fast‑moving environments.
