Ramp Lead Agent

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in ground handling, cargo handling and passenger services, is hiring a Ramp Lead Agent in Honolulu, Hawaii. The agent leads and directs the work of ramp employees, trains and instructs them so that quality work is performed, and acts as working manager of a group of ramp agents while assisting them with their duties.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret load sheets and load/unload aircraft according to customer instructions.
• Load and unload processes in line with customer, Swissport and FAA guidelines.
• Ensure the safety and integrity of customer and Swissport assets during operations.
• Manage the baggage make-up process according to airline specifications.
• Maintain a disciplined work environment in line with company rules and regulations.
• Lead all agents and ensure staff display a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Some lead experience; minimum 1 year of experience in the field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to work in inclement weather and lift objects up to 70 pounds (32 kg).
• Flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent health and safety awareness.

Required skills

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate all equipment and perform some staff duties.
