Radiology Manager & MRSO

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Manager and MRSO for its Radiology department at UM Hospital and Clinics. Reporting to the Director of Imaging, the incumbent will provide strategic direction, oversee operations of the GCRB Diagnostic Center, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall imaging operations, including planning, organizing, and directing departmental activities.
• Evaluate new equipment and services for cost‑effectiveness and operational efficiency, recommending major purchases.
• Maintain financial, statistical, and personnel records; prepare internal financial reports for UHealth administration.
• Develop, secure approval for, and manage operational and capital budgets; coordinate purchases of supplies and equipment.
• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, radiologists, technologists, and other UHealth leaders to implement solutions and new programs.
• Hire, supervise, counsel, and evaluate staff in accordance with UHealth policies.
• Establish and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and scheduling; ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards.
• Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions to achieve departmental goals.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare imaging or radiology setting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and technology acquisition.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and administrative leaders.
• Experience ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
