Radiologic Technologist II – Imaging Services (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform complex imaging procedures and support radiology staff. This full‑time position works flexible day and evening shifts, with occasional on‑call, weekend, and rotational coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Operate radiographic and scanner equipment to obtain high‑quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Assist radiologists and PhDs in developing new imaging protocols and techniques.
• Verify and process imaging orders, ensuring appropriateness and accuracy.
• Monitor daily charging of radiologic procedures and supplies.
• Demonstrate equipment during site visits for physicians and administrators.
• Provide IV start‑up and contrast injection when required.
• Evaluate technical quality of scans, label and collate images, and maintain aseptic technique.
• Train and orient new radiologic technologists and support staff.

Required profile

• Experience performing complex radiologic procedures under radiologist supervision.
• Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and age‑appropriate imaging standards.
• Ability to interpret orders, verify patient identity, and address discrepancies.
