Radiation Therapy Technologist – Full Time

About the role

The UHealth System at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Radiation Therapy Technologist to join the Radiation Oncology Department at the U Tower hospital. The position involves delivering precise radiation treatments and collaborating closely with oncologists and the therapy team.

Key responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation doses using therapy equipment and ensure accurate patient positioning.
• Review prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient charts to verify treatment parameters.
• Perform daily machine safety checks, operate simulation and treatment machines, and report any abnormalities.
• Construct immobilization devices and apply custom blocking techniques for conformal therapy.
• Utilize imaging equipment and treatment planning systems for precise tumor localization.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Radiation Therapy license.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the oncology team.
