Quality Systems Specialist

About the role

Join Clariant in Albuquerque as a Quality Systems Specialist and lead the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS). You will ensure compliance with global standards, support product excellence, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality results for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality specifications and the QMS across all sites.
• Coordinate certification audits (initial, surveillance, re‑certification) and ensure alignment with ISO, FSC, cGMP, QPL, and other relevant standards.
• Support Quality Control activities, including incoming material testing, production inspection, batch record review, and non‑conforming product management.
• Handle external customer quality inquiries, questionnaires, audits, and complaint processes.
• Create and review QA documentation, SOPs, and work instructions using Intelex.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply‑chain teams to resolve quality defects and support product launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field (BS preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations with exposure to QA/QMS.
• Familiarity with Lean Sigma and 8D problem‑solving methodologies.
