NMO Technician II

About the role

The NMO Technician II provides intermediate‑level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of electronic, mechanical, and software‑related components for low‑volume, high‑mix projects at the Kansas City National Security Campus. The role supports engineering prototypes, development, and production while adhering to strict workmanship standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic technical tasks including testing, troubleshooting, and repairing sub‑systems.
• Read and follow work procedures, record results accurately, and interpret technical drawings.
• Use appropriate equipment, tools, and techniques to complete assignments under close supervision.
• Collaborate with project leads and subject‑matter experts to develop technical aptitude.
• Maintain documentation and comply with Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS) and Management Operating Systems (MOS).
• Engage minimally with customers and support team activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent technical training).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work on‑site as directed.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
