Quality Systems Engineer

About the role

Radiant is seeking a proactive Quality Systems Engineer to lead the development and implementation of quality assurance practices within its fast‑growing micro‑reactor manufacturing operation. The role blends technical engineering expertise with operational execution to ensure that every hardware component meets the highest standards of safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and roll out company‑wide practices that guarantee hardware is designed, built and operated with rigorous engineering standards.
• Interpret and apply NQA‑1 quality assurance requirements to keep Radiant compliant with nuclear industry regulations.
• Assess the impact of quality procedures on production flow, adjusting or streamlining them to support high‑throughput manufacturing while maintaining compliance.
• Develop new policies and procedures in response to evolving priorities and emerging challenges.
• Lead an internal audit program to verify adherence to quality standards and the effectiveness of the quality system.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in engineering with a solid grasp of fundamental engineering principles.
• At least two years of full‑time experience solving engineering problems in hardware design, testing, systems engineering, build reliability or quality assurance.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of questioning assumptions and driving root‑cause investigations.

Required skills

• Deep familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, NQA‑1 and TS16959.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware design, testing, systems engineering, build reliability and quality assurance processes.
