Quality Supervisor - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Quality Supervisor to lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control team at our pet‑food manufacturing plant in Highbridge. Reporting to the Food Safety and Compliance Manager, you will ensure that every product complies with regulatory, safety and company standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily QA/QC activities including receiving inspections, in‑process checks, product testing and sanitation verification.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, USDA, AAFCO, FSMA and GMP requirements.
• Monitor and enforce HACCP, SQF and other food‑safety programs.
• Review documentation, manage deviations, corrective actions and retention samples.
• Lead internal audits and support third‑party inspections.
• Investigate quality issues and coordinate resolutions with operations.
• Train and coach QA specialists and production staff on procedures and best practices.
• Oversee lab equipment calibration, environmental monitoring and sample storage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of QA experience in food or pet‑food manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality‑management systems.
• Knowledge of pet‑food regulations (AAFCO, FDA, FSMA) and GFSI standards.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and SQF principles.
