Quality Manager – Healthcare

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Central Business Office is seeking a full‑time Quality Manager to lead quality improvement initiatives across the hospital and its departments. The role focuses on monitoring quality indicators, analyzing outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of JCAHO, federal and state regulations.
• Develop, implement and maintain a quality management plan aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Create and oversee internal reporting structures for quality data.
• Educate faculty, administrators and staff on improvement opportunities and data collection methods.
• Analyze findings, implement interventions, and track improvements in quality outcomes.
• Serve as liaison with risk management, safety programs and various hospital committees.
• Monitor staff licensure status and ensure timely renewals.
• Participate in budgeting, monitor department expenses and report financial variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or related healthcare roles.
• Strong understanding of JCAHO standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
