Quality Management Specialist – Full Time

About the role

The Quality Management Specialist supports the University of Miami’s healthcare facilities in achieving and maintaining accreditation standards. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with national measures, improve patient outcomes, and sustain a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute accreditation readiness activities, including internal mock surveys.
• Collaborate with healthcare quality colleagues and management to maintain continuous readiness.
• Develop, review, and implement accreditation readiness documentation and policies.
• Maintain the Quality Management Plan and ensure alignment with TJC and other regulatory standards.
• Submit patient care data for satisfaction surveys and TJC reporting on time.
• Analyze findings, implement interventions, and track improvements in quality outcomes.
• Manage databases and information resources to provide accurate documentation and communication.
• Educate stakeholders on new standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Support the Quality Management leadership team and stay current on accreditation, licensing, and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (TJC, CMS, AHCA, Commission on Cancer).
• Experience coordinating clinical databases, policy maintenance, and staff education.
• Ability to analyze data, identify gaps, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong collaboration skills with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
