Quality Inspector

About the role

Rennscot MFG is seeking a detail‑driven Quality Inspector to ensure every part meets the highest standards. The role blends hands‑on inspection with collaboration across machining, engineering, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges and CMM equipment (Zeiss/Calypso preferred).
• Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T callouts to verify dimensional and quality requirements.
• Document findings in the MES (ProShop ERP) in compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
• Conduct visual inspections for surface defects and support non‑conformance investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and assist newer team members with inspection techniques.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology or related field is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience or strong eagerness to learn precision metrology tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings; familiarity with GD&T principles is advantageous.
• Commitment to safety, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and willingness to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
