Quality Engineer – Solar Manufacturing

About the role

CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the production of high‑performance solar panels, inverters and energy storage solutions. The role focuses on implementing quality policies, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product control plans for new and existing solar products.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineering change activities to ensure seamless processing.
• Supervise Quality Control activities and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Provide technical responses to customers on quality concerns and manage investigations.
• Liaise with suppliers, conduct on‑site audits, and approve new materials or processes.
• Track and resolve open issues related to product launches and generate required documentation.
• Lead internal audits, deliver training, and coach junior quality technicians.
• Support ISO 9001 activities and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies.
