Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This position develops and implements quality procedures, drives corrective actions, and works closely with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, procedures, and documentation in line with customer and industry requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for manufacturability and compliance.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to verify product and process conformance.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain and analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Support new product introduction through quality planning, risk assessments, and control plans.
• Develop and update inspection plans, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Assist with customer and supplier audits and certification processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lb, push/pull up to 100 lb, and work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions.

Required skills

• FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, control plans.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Proficiency in CAD and GD&T interpretation.
• Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems.
