Quality Engineer – Accuracy Control

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer – Accuracy Control to support the building, integration and testing of autonomous surface vessels. The role focuses on ensuring dimensional accuracy and alignment throughout shipyard operations, from hull fabrication to final vessel assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dimensional control procedures for shipyard fabrication, assembly and testing.
• Perform high‑accuracy inspections using laser trackers, total stations and digital levels to verify compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T and regulatory standards.
• Establish vessel coordinate systems, reference datums and control networks for hull structures, machinery and propulsion systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce rework and enhance fit‑up efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and support harbor acceptance testing and sea trials.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, measurement reports and non‑conformance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, naval standards, ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, welding and program teams to resolve dimensional issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and experience in shipyard or industrial quality environments.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, production and quality teams.
• Familiarity with naval or maritime standards and ISO 9001 quality systems.
