About the role
The Quality Control/Assurance Technician conducts visual and mechanical inspections of incoming materials, parts, and packaged goods, as well as in‑process work orders, to ensure products meet established standards. The role involves identifying non‑conforming items and reporting findings to quality and manufacturing leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Perform destructive and nondestructive inspections on incoming shipments and report any deviations from requirements.
- Conduct in‑process inspections during production runs, verify product compliance during change‑overs, and execute outgoing audits.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, instrument calibrations, and out‑of‑tolerance items.
- Analyze inspection data to identify trends, recommend procedural changes, and collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety policies, reporting unsafe conditions promptly.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong math, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and use inspection tools.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑departmental problem resolution.
