Quality Control Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Technician will join the service department at Jim Taylor Ford Lincoln in Ruston, LA. This position ensures every vehicle leaving the shop meets the company’s quality standards and provides a safe, clean, and reliable experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform final quality inspections on completed vehicles before customer pickup.
• Verify that repairs were performed correctly, check warning lights, fluid levels, and overall workmanship.
• Road‑test vehicles as needed to confirm repair quality and performance.
• Identify any missed items and communicate findings clearly to technicians and service advisors.
• Help maintain consistent repair quality and delivery standards.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven.
• Strong observational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Team‑oriented attitude and strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Automotive service experience (preferred).
• Basic mechanical understanding and ability to identify concerns.
