Plant Industrial Technician – Field Equipment Operator

About the role

Vinmar Recycling Solutions is seeking a Plant Industrial Technician to operate heavy equipment in chemical plants and manufacturing facilities. The role supports the Operation Clean Sweep® program, aiming to reduce plastic pellet and powder loss while promoting sustainable practices.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment such as vacuum trucks, mobile packaging units, trailer transfer units, and roll‑off trucks safely and efficiently.
• Package, unload, and transfer materials in railcars and work with sumps, drains, trenches, reactors, and silos, including potential confined spaces.
• Ensure equipment complies with safety practices, company policies, OSHA standards, and complete required paperwork and communication with customer representatives.
• Follow all site safety procedures while operating machinery and vehicles, and perform any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Valid driver’s license (and TWIC card where required), fluent in English, and able to wear required PPE without restriction.
• Regular on‑site attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous military experience is a plus.
