Quality Control Laboratory Technician – 12 hr Shift

About the role

Join 3M’s Cordova plant as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, working 12‑hour rotating shifts. You will support product quality, development, and production by performing elementary tests and measurements, ensuring that all materials meet 3M’s rigorous standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of samples with minimal supervision and report results.
• Support QC lab process‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist with product validations and optimizations.
• Utilize LIMS and other computer systems for data capture.
• Document all test results accurately.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration.
• Participate in quality‑improvement programs.
• Maintain or improve testing cycle times for QC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED or higher (verified prior to start).
• Minimum 1 year of quality‑control technician experience.
• Associate degree or two‑year technical degree (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a chemical operator, laboratory technician, or a combination of both (preferred).
• Understanding of basic measurement systems, testing, and calibration.
• Working knowledge of basic quality tools and a consistent problem‑solving methodology.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including external partners.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
