Quality Control Inspector

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that raw materials, intermediate bulk items, and finished products meet established specifications. Working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you will perform inspections, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming raw materials and products against specifications.
• Maintain and update inspection files, procedures, and related documentation.
• Interpret engineering drawings and product prints to determine proper configuration and performance.
• Compile and evaluate statistical data to monitor product quality and reliability.
• Prepare dispositions, reports, and documentation for purchasing and quality engineers on non‑conforming materials.
• Support internal and external audits and assist in corrective‑action development.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree with at least two years of related quality experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, organizational, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to lift 25‑50 lb, operate a pallet jack, and work in noisy, high‑glare, and humid conditions.

Required skills

• Reading engineering prints.
• Using calipers and electrical meters for dimensional measurements.
• Basic computer skills with standard office‑suite programs.
• Operating a pallet jack.
• Maintaining and calibrating hand tools and fixtures.
