Quality Assurance Tester

About the role

iRacing Studios develops and publishes motorsport racing simulations and games. It is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester who works with developers, customer support and its private test community to test all of iRacing's products, with a special focus on iRacing Studios titles. The role requires attention to detail, confidence in creating and following documentation, and excellent communication.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed bug reports, communicate with developers and verify bug fixes.
• Run detailed test plans to prove the quality of new and existing features, systems, cars and tracks.
• Produce qualitative and quantitative reports for management, developers and customers.
• Work with customers and customer support to identify issues and possible workarounds.
• Test using a variety of hardware and peripherals and assist with special projects as an internal source of feedback.

Required profile

• Active iRacing membership for 2+ years.
• Application testing experience or equivalent application knowledge.
• Basic understanding of test methodologies and processes.
• Strong eye for detail, analytical mind and ability to see an experience from multiple usability angles.
• Self-driven, patient and able to adapt to changing priorities; excellent teamwork skills.
• Well acquainted with PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox consoles.
• Remote work experience and comfort as a remote employee.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets, datasets and data organization.
• Preferred: software development, web technologies and JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
• Preferred: programming, 3D art, PC building, racing wheels, VR devices and motorsports knowledge.
