Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

Agropur is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor in Weyauwega, WI. The supervisor leads the site's quality assurance programs, ensures compliance with internal and regulatory standards, manages the day-to-day activities of the quality team, oversees product quality and drives continuous quality improvement. The role works with production and cross-functional teams to maintain high standards in food safety, quality and legality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site's quality programs, including GMPs, GLPs, HACCP and food safety systems
• Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, lead risk management and non-conformance resolution
• Manage and train QA staff, and conduct routine audits of quality systems, processes and procedures
• Collaborate with production and other departments to resolve quality issues and guide corrective actions
• Oversee product sampling, testing and release, verify electronic system updates for raw materials and finished products, and lead investigations of deviations, non-conformities and customer complaints
• Monitor quality KPIs, ensure site readiness for external audits and act as main contact for audit responses
• Take part in cross-functional meetings, keep quality documentation accurate and up to date, and help develop SOPs
• Train production employees on quality standards and regulatory compliance, and support plant-wide quality improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Food Science, Microbiology or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of quality assurance experience in the food industry, with a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, HACCP and food safety regulations; HACCP certification preferred
• PCQI or SQF Practitioner certification preferred
