Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance and Inspection Manager will lead the QA/QC team at Amherst StudioBuilt™ homes, ensuring that all construction work meets strict specifications, design requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct inspections of completed and in‑progress work, documenting compliance with plans and specifications.
• Direct Quality Inspectors, provide training, and troubleshoot inspection issues.
• Review and approve raw materials, test samples, and ensure all QA/QC forms are complete and signed.
• Maintain electronic documentation in appropriate drives and databases.
• Report non‑conforming work, coordinate rework, and implement corrective solutions.

Required profile

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience in quality assurance within manufacturing or construction.
• Proven experience in residential construction; modular or manufacturing background is a plus.
• Leadership or training experience preferred.
• Strong organization, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use of quality testing systems and equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and automated databases.
• Documentation of QA/QC processes and regulatory compliance.
