Framer I – Modular Home Construction

About the role

Amherst StudioBuilt is seeking a motivated Framer I to join its growing modular housing factory in Cuero, Texas. This entry‑level position offers the chance to learn framing techniques in a fast‑paced, off‑site construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rough and finished carpentry work including wall and roof framing, layout, sheathing, and sheetrock installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to accurately build components.
• Measure, mark, cut, and shape lumber, plastic, drywall, and fiberglass using hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, obstruction‑free work area and adhere to all safety standards and protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience on construction sites or in a modular manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift 75 lb, stand for 8+ hours, and work overtime as scheduled.
• Good manual dexterity and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with nail guns, saws, sanders, drills, and planers.
• Use of measuring tools such as transit, lasers, and levels.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs safely.
