Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support its Manufacturing & Technology division. The role focuses on creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating bid processes, and ensuring supplier performance for critical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bidders’ lists, qualify bidders, and assemble bid packages.
• Issue bid requests, participate in negotiations, and recommend commitments.
• Secure necessary approvals and communicate purchase requirements to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with purchase order specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to align procurement activities with project needs.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing processes, preferably within an EPC or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
