Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator will support MHI RJ Aviation Group’s Indirect Goods & Services procurement across U.S. service centers. Working closely with Finance, Operations and Material Logistics, you will ensure purchase requisitions, sourcing activities and invoice approvals are processed efficiently and in line with budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with requestors to define technical requirements, statements of work and procurement needs.
• Create, monitor and advance purchase requisitions in SAP S/4HANA through approval workflows.
• Maintain communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders, reviewing SOWs, quotes and technical documents for accuracy.
• Manage invoice follow‑up, resolve discrepancies and align with Accounts Payable.
• Conduct RFIs, RFPs and RFQs for low‑ to medium‑complexity purchases, analyze data and recommend sourcing decisions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Support standardisation of procurement processes across Tucson and West Virginia sites.
• Prepare reports, analyses and presentations using Microsoft Office and SAP data.
• Escalate urgent operational or supplier issues to Finance leadership.
