Publicist Assistant – Entertainment PR Support

About the role

Narrative PR is seeking a proactive Publicist Assistant to support its high‑profile entertainment clients, including filmmakers, actors and production companies. The role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced PR environment, requiring strong organization and a solution‑oriented mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to senior publicists, including calendar management, scheduling, note‑taking and expense reporting.
• Coordinate logistics for press events, interviews, red‑carpet appearances and photo shoots across New York and Los Angeles.
• Maintain and update digital press kits, client bios and media lists.
• Monitor media coverage, compile daily/weekly clipping reports and distribute digital briefs to clients.
• Draft memos and correspondence for senior team review.
• Process client requests promptly and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field.
• At least one year of full‑time administrative experience in the entertainment industry or a studio/agency setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly organized, resilient and capable of working independently or within a team.
