Public Health Technician & Epidemiologist

About the role

Advent Services is seeking a Public Health Technician/Epidemiologist to join its A3 Operations team at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base. The role supports the USAFSAM Operational Consultation Support Team, providing epidemiological expertise for health surveillance, research, and operational health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver epidemiological analysis for routine and ad‑hoc reports, scientific studies, and operational investigations.
• Design, conduct, and lead analyses of health surveillance data, medical and military records, and operational health studies.
• Collect, manage, and analyze data from multiple authorized databases to support research and operational projects.
• Collaborate with USAFSAM researchers, MAJCOM personnel, and Air Force organizations to develop evidence‑based recommendations.
• Prepare presentations, posters, and peer‑reviewed publications for scientific conferences.
• Obtain and maintain required data access permissions and ensure compliance with data security policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in public health, community health, or an aerospace‑medicine clinic with strong epidemiology background.
• At least 5 years of epidemiology experience in a healthcare or military environment.
• Proven ability to design, administer, and analyze surveys and questionnaires.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills for scientific reports and publications.
• Ability to obtain a signed Non‑Disclosure Agreement before starting.
• Highly desired: prior military experience or work in a military research setting.
