Public Area Attendant

About the role

The Ray Hotel Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 141-room upscale hotel in the Pineapple Grove Arts District, is hiring a Public Area Attendant. The role keeps the hotel's public spaces clean and tidy in line with guest service and sustainability standards, with a clear path to growth toward Room Inspector, Housekeeping Supervisor and Executive Housekeeper.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas in line with guest service and sustainability standards.
• Clean hard and textile surfaces and restrooms in public spaces, and respond to guest room requests.
• Keep internal windows and doorways free of fingerprints and smudges, and ensure furniture and hard surfaces are clean and organized.
• Keep floors free of debris, clean carpet spots, and keep elevator surfaces clean and debris-free.
• Empty waste receptacles in public areas, and clean the employee break room and employee restroom.
• Use chemicals as directed, know the Material Safety Data Sheets, and follow blood-borne pathogen protection procedures.
• Follow sustainability guidelines under the HHM EarthView program, wear protective equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, kneel and crouch.
