Psychiatrist – Raleigh, NC

About the role

We are hiring a Psychiatrist (full‑time or part‑time) to join our Raleigh, NC clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to personalized, compassionate, high‑quality care for severe mental illness. The role involves delivering behavioral health management, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, dietitians, and community health workers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health management and monitor patients through various treatment modalities as they progress through recovery phases.
• Develop individualized treatment plans during engagement and stabilization, addressing psychosocial and medical needs.
• Offer continuous, regular consultations in person and occasionally virtually as patients navigate recovery.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach.
• Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health.

Required profile

• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Psychiatrist with an active, unrestricted NC medical license and DEA.
• Willingness to obtain Clozapine REMS certification.
• Prior experience with mental health and/or addiction issues, familiar with Raleigh’s medical and social service systems.
• Holistic health perspective and strong understanding of patient rights.
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations in various settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and negotiation skills, plus comfort with technology.
