Psychiatrist & Behavioral Health Medical Director

About the role

CareMind Health, the clinical services affiliate of Mindoula Health, seeks a board‑certified psychiatrist to serve as Behavioral Health Medical Director at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. This full‑time position combines clinical attending duties with leadership of the behavioral health service line in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as weekday attending psychiatrist and lead multidisciplinary rounds.
• Provide emergency department and inpatient consults, complete evaluations, discharge paperwork, and capacity assessments.
• Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives and represent psychiatry at executive meetings.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance of psychiatric providers and APPs.
• Participate in service line development, serve on Medical Executive Committee, and act as escalation point for clinical issues.

Required profile

• Board‑certified psychiatrist with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong background in inpatient psychiatry and consult‑liaison services.
• Demonstrated leadership experience or interest in leadership development.
• Commitment to quality improvement, documentation excellence, and meeting provider volume expectations.
