Proposal Engineer - Special-Purpose Machinery

About the role

Bosch Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a motivated Proposal Engineer to support the development of special‑purpose machinery for the automotive industry. You will work closely with sales, technical teams and customers to turn complex requirements into viable engineering proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFQs and customer specifications to understand technical, commercial and contractual needs.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering to define high‑level solution scope, technology and services.
• Assist cost estimators and sales in creating competitive and profitable pricing.
• Prepare clear, persuasive proposal documents, including executive summaries, technical descriptions, scope of work and project plans.
• Support risk assessment and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in industrial automation or special‑purpose machinery.
• Hands‑on experience managing projects from concept through implementation.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of proposals.
