Project Manager, Research Support

About the role

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Project Manager, Research Support to coordinate and lead complex research activities on the UHealth campus. The role ensures efficient data collection and study administration while maintaining compliance with all applicable guidelines. This hybrid position allows fieldwork in either New York City or Miami and may require occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate participant schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate workflow, organization, and planning challenges and develop analytical solutions.
• Maintain protocol books and support manuscript preparation.
• Analyze computerized datasets using standard software packages.
• Present study results at scientific meetings and conferences.
• Write manuscripts for peer‑reviewed medical journals.
• Communicate research program objectives, ensure they are met, and document outcomes.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and follow unit‑level procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably with grant management.
• Strong background in neuroscience or psychology with prior research experience.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Sound judgment for critical decision‑making.
