Project Manager – Public Health Data Modernization (Remote)

About the role

Blu Omega is looking for a Project Manager to support a CDC‑funded public health data modernization program. The role is fully remote and focuses on coordinating multiple technical projects, facilitating Agile delivery, and ensuring effective communication with diverse public‑health stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and tasks in Jira.
• Facilitate stand‑ups, check‑ins, retrospectives and other meetings; prepare agendas, capture notes and track action items.
• Coordinate project documentation such as charters, deliverables, and meeting materials using established templates.
• Support risk, issue and dependency tracking and communicate blockers to leadership.
• Collaborate with technical, functional and subject‑matter‑expert teams to align tasks and deliverables.
• Monitor quality and completeness of outputs before submission or hand‑off.
• Assist Agile practices by managing backlog updates, milestones and Jira task hygiene.
• Contribute to post‑project reviews and lessons‑learned activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least four years of full life‑cycle project management experience on complex technical initiatives.
• Proven ability to produce project plans, schedules, status reports and executive briefings.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and cross‑discipline teams simultaneously.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous or evolving requirement environments.
• Strong command of Agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
