Project Manager - MILCON 04225 NW Design

About the role

The Project Manager will lead Military Construction (MILCON) projects from planning through construction completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met. This position involves extensive client interaction, multidisciplinary team coordination, and travel to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage MILCON projects through all phases, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Serve as primary liaison between government clients, stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and performance metrics.
• Monitor progress, ensure compliance with contract requirements, and manage risks and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and prepare project reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing federal or MILCON projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Ability to travel 25‑50% and obtain required security clearances.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of MILCON processes, DoD/USACE/NAVFAC requirements, and federal acquisition regulations.
• Strong analytical, risk management, cost control, and quality management capabilities.
