Project Manager – Material Handling & Crane Systems

About the role

Crane 1 Services is seeking a high‑energy, detail‑oriented Project Manager to lead material handling and overhead lifting equipment projects from concept through installation and commissioning. You will own the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of material lifting equipment projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets (including P&L) and resource plans.
• Serve as primary customer contact, providing updates and resolving issues.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Provide technical support across mechanical, structural and electrical components.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to define scope and requirements.
• Oversee installation activities and manage commissioning, testing and performance validation.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to cost, schedule and execution.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, ANSI and other industry standards.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, reports and compliance records.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of project management experience in industrial manufacturing, material handling or crane systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (preferred).
• Equivalent experience in industrial equipment or engineered systems will be considered.

Required skills
