Project Manager – K-12 Capital Projects

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager to lead K-12 capital projects across the Southeast United States. The role will oversee the full project lifecycle—from planning and procurement through design, construction, activation, closeout and warranty—ensuring delivery that meets district stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned capital projects through all phases, coordinating scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder expectations.
• Manage project communications, serve as primary point of contact, and facilitate coordination among district departments, consultants, contractors and end‑users.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and constraints, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee design reviews, permitting, procurement activities and construction execution.
• Support contract administration, including pay applications, change orders and project reporting.
• Collaborate with program controls for forecasting, financial reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, regulatory requirements and operational procedures.
• Assist with project activation, occupancy planning, turnover and warranty coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects, preferably in the education sector.
• Ability to work across multiple states in the Southeast region and adapt to local, regional or travel‑based assignments.
