Project Manager – HVAC (Commercial)

About the role

We are a growing mechanical contractor seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead commercial plumbing and HVAC projects. The role requires a proactive, solution‑oriented professional who can manage projects from planning through completion in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of commercial plumbing/HVAC projects from initial planning to final delivery.
• Review contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure optimal outcomes for the company.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, meeting all milestones.
• Manage project budgets and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Identify and resolve issues that could impact timelines or budgets.
• Communicate progress and address client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor work quality and take corrective action when necessary.
• Promote a safety‑focused work environment and lead by example.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar construction role.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $50 k to $25 M+.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial plumbing or HVAC projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to review and negotiate contracts effectively.
• Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong budget management and financial reporting skills.
• Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of construction management principles.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety; relevant qualifications in plumbing or construction management are a plus.
