Project Manager - Commercial/Retail Construction

About the role

An established commercial general contractor based in Atlanta, specializing in fast-paced projects in the restaurant, fast-food, retail, banking and convenience store sectors, is looking for a Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion. Projects typically run $3 million to $6 million with 5-6 month schedules, and the role works closely with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial, retail, restaurant and related construction projects from preconstruction through completion, coordinating schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Partner with superintendents and field teams to keep schedule, quality, safety and profitability on track.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, contracts, purchase orders and project documentation.
• Review and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals and other project controls.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, customers, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3-10 years of construction experience strongly preferred; previous project management experience in commercial, retail or restaurant construction.
• Experience managing projects in the $3M-$6M range and on fast-paced 5-6 month schedules is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field preferred but not required.
• Must be based in or willing to work from Atlanta, GA, with travel as required by project assignments.
