Project Manager – Biomedical Engineering

About the role

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Project Manager to lead small‑ to medium‑scale biomedical engineering projects for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The role focuses on healthcare technology management (HTM) initiatives, including the Oracle Health Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) effort.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute multiple HTM projects related to Oracle Health EHRM across VA medical centers and VISN leadership.
• Coordinate with clinical, technical, and administrative teams to ensure compliance with VA and federal regulations.
• Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including VA leadership.
• Develop and present detailed project reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
• Utilize CMMS tools to track project progress and integrate emerging technologies such as Large Language Model (LLM) applications for decision‑making and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience in healthcare technology environments.
• In‑depth understanding of HTM and experience working within the VA enterprise.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder communication and risk management skills.
