Project Manager – Ambulatory Services

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Ambulatory Services is seeking a full‑time Project Manager to work onsite in Miami. The role oversees planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple departmental projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope in collaboration with leadership and establish measurable objectives.
• Determine required resources, develop comprehensive project plans and timelines, and document all activities.
• Review schedules with affected staff, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure successful completion.
• Assign tasks to project team members, provide appropriate orientation, and manage staff according to university policies.
• Maintain project documentation, secure files, and create communication schedules for stakeholder updates.
• Prepare and present status reports and presentations to leadership.
• Ensure internal controls, compliance with university policies, and train employees on relevant procedures.
• Support Ambulatory Operations initiatives, including training programs, policy development, process improvement, and oversight of clinical exam room spaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing planning, implementation, and tracking of projects.
• Ability to define project scope, set objectives, and allocate resources.
• Strong organizational skills to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
• Experience managing project teams and communicating progress to leadership.
• Familiarity with documenting project activities and maintaining secure records.
