Project Lead Engineer

About the role

Dematic seeks a Project Lead Engineer to drive engineering deliverables for material handling projects within the Amazon Business Unit. The role reports to an Engineering Senior Manager and works closely with the Project Manager and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate contractual technical requirements into scheduled engineering deliverables across mechanical and controls disciplines.
• Manage engineering schedules, resources, and change coordination to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Lead technical reviews, system testing, and customer acceptance activities.
• Provide technical status reports, risk mitigation support, and post‑mortem analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering or project management experience, preferably in material handling.
• Strong customer focus, problem‑solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to customer sites.
